Enrichment Course Offering
A book club EXCLUSIVELY for kids…complete with yummy treats!
Who doesn’t love to curl up with a good book…especially on those rainy or snowy days? Come join us if you devour books while reading, want to engage with a variety of genres, and love recommending books for others to read. We’ll read a book during each week and spend our time together discussing the characters, how you would feel and respond in their situations, and what the author pushes you to think about more deeply. This course will obviously help you with your stamina and reading fluency, but it also offers you a chance to just simply read for pleasure without the stress of homework attached. It’s just like how adults have book clubs, only this one is exclusively for kids! As a special treat, we’ll include hot tea and/ or hot cocoa to sip during our meaningful discussions. You’ll keep your books after the course and begin to create a collection of books to enjoy and pass along to other readers. You’ll be a budding librarian by the end of the course!
