Safety and care for each other and our families remain the top priority in navigating AVA school and office routines during the COVID 19 pandemic. Flexibility and communication remain key elements of a responsible plan when responding to possible COVID 19 exposure and minimizing any compromise to student learning. AVA will follow the recommended CDC guidelines for all quarantine and isolation needs. We will make decisions regarding COVID 19 protocols per the CDC, the State of New Jersey, and AVA Leadership based on the best interest of all our students, staff members, and families. Any changes deemed necessary will be communicated via email from the Head of School and Human Resources Departments.
AVA will maintain several hand sanitizing stations throughout our school spaces. We encourage regular and frequent hand washing throughout the school day. We encourage students, staff members, and guests to observe social distancing when possible and appropriate. We encourage students, staff members, and guests to wear a mask if they feel it is in their best interest. Specific mask policies will be communicated vis email based on needs and rising data/ COVID 19 cases.
If any student, staff member, or guest is experiencing COVID 19 symptoms, they should remain quarantined and not attend AVA school services and events until negative test results are confirmed. This is important to keeping all of our students, staff members, and families safe from any potential spread of the virus.
